3/4 Cup Butter
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1 1/2 Cups Mashed Banana’s
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 Cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter milk
3/4 cup nuts chopped (walnuts are best)
- Cream together butter and sugar, add banana, egg, and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients.
- Add alternately with buttermilk. Blend well. Stir in nuts and pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/4 hours… watch closely after 1 hour till golden brown on top and passes the toothpick test.
Its important that you mix the wet ingredients portion into the dry ingredients for some reason, add a little wet stir then a little buttermilk stir then back to the wet and back and forth add the nuts last… and to make it a little moister stlasp a little veg oil in it just before you bake. and depending on pan size it may only take 1 hour to bake not the full 1hr 15min.
