Ingredients
Kunafa dough 250gm cut into short strips
Orange food color powder half tsp
Ghee or butter 4 tbsp melted
Mix food color in melted ghee and mix this ghee with kunafa dough. Now Keep aside.

 

Ingredients for filling:

Thick cream 1 cup
Milk half cup
Corn flour 4 tbsp heaped
Mix corn flour in a half cup of milk then add in cream and mix well. Cook this mixture in a sauce pan till thickens.

Ingredients for syrup:

Sugar half cup
Water ¼ cup for syrup
Take another sauce pan and add sugar and water for syrup… boil for few minutes… Syrup should not be too thick.

Method

  • Preheat oven at 150c.
  • Take a round or square baking pan. Press the half of kunafa dough at bottom. Press with spoon to level. Apple cream mixture evenly on top. And again press remaining kunafa dough on top. Press with spoon to set evenly.
  • Bake for 20 minutes till nice golden on top.
  • Pour sugar syrup on it and sprinkle crushed pistachio… That’s it
