Ingredients :

Poha
Lemon- 1
Curry and Coriander leaves
Channa dal – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – a pinch
Peanuts – 1 tsp
Red Chillies – 2
Mustard and Urat dal – 1 tsp each

Method :

  • Wash the aval and soak in water for 10 – 20 minutes. The water level should be just enough to immerse .
  • Add Lemon juice , turmeric powder , salt and asafoetida in it and mix well , the aval will absorb the spice.
  • Once done , heat oil for tadka . Splutter Mustard , Urat dal , Red chillies and Curry leaves with channa dal and peanuts . Nuts and dal must be roasted well not burnt.
  • Finally, mix aval to it and mix it up well . Garnish with Corinader leaves .
